Biography

I grew up in a small town in western Kentucky. In 2003, after graduating college with a B.A. in Anthropology, my family and I moved to Eugene. When a relative needed care we returned in early 2005 and homesteaded there for a few years pining for a return to the Pacific Northwest. During those years spent back home, my wife and I began teaching art classes and volunteering at an environmental education center. It was here that I discovered my calling as a teacher.

After finally returning to Oregon in late 2009, I continued to teach classes for free as I worked toward my Master's in Education. I would like to teach Elementary grade levels as I really enjoy the Elementary school I volunteer in everday. I believe my desire to teach is based partially on seeing the moral fiber of this country slowly decay as well as my wish to help shape future generations to be whole, self-reliant individuals and active members of society.
